About

Hi, I'm Malek.

Physiotherapist · Solo founder of Oris

I built Oris to take the heavy lifting off the physiotherapist — so we can spend more time on the patient and less time on research, admin, and prompt-engineering AI tools that weren't built for our work.

Why I built Oris

A physio built this
for physios.

The problem I kept hitting

I'm a physiotherapist, and like most physios I work with, I was watching the job get heavier. Note-taking, research, assessment paperwork, case-by-case planning. The work that brings us into this profession is the time we spend with the patient. The work that wears us out is everything around it.

Generic AI wasn't the answer

Most physios I know are already turning to ChatGPT or Gemini for the heavy lifting on unfamiliar cases. The problem is the prompt. A general-purpose AI gives you a textbook answer because we don't know how to ask for the bedside one. No physio should have to learn prompt engineering to get a useful clinical reply.

The work that brings us into this profession is the time we spend with the patient. The work that wears us out is everything around it.

Why I keep building it

There's an endless backlog of books, journals, and research we should be reading. None of us have the time. Oris is built so the next time you face an unfamiliar case, the reasoning is in the room with you — and you can spend more of your day on the patient, not in front of a research tab.

What Oris is built to do

Oris is the assistant a physio actually needs. It takes the heavy lifting — differential reasoning, red-flag screening, plan personalisation — and structures it the way we already think. The reasoning is shown. The sources are cited. The plan is tuned to your modalities and session length. You stay the clinician; Oris handles the legwork.

Where Oris stands

The principle

The clinician makes the call.
Oris helps you see more of the case.

Every output is for you to weigh, adapt, and sign off. Oris assists the reasoning — it never replaces it.

Built with clinicians

Reviewed by practising physiotherapists before every release.

Sourced

Differentials, special tests, and protocols reference clinical practice guidelines and named authors.

e.g. (per APTA Neck Pain CPG 2017)

GDPR compliant

Patient data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Never used to train AI models.

Sources cited inline on every Oris output. Privacy details on the privacy page.
