Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Oris, answered honestly.

Plans & Pricing
Is the Starter plan really free forever?
Yes. The Starter plan is permanently free — no trial period, no expiry, no credit card required. You get 1 patient, 3 sessions total, and 2 AI assessments every 3 days, indefinitely. It's designed as a genuine way to experience Oris's clinical reasoning before deciding to upgrade.
What's the Student plan, and who qualifies?
The Student plan is $20/month for students at accredited physiotherapy programmes. It includes up to 5 patients, 5 sessions per patient, and 15 AI assessments per month — sized for clinical placements and case-based learning. A university email address is required at signup.
How does the 14-day free trial on paid plans work?
All paid plans include a 14-day free trial — no credit card required to start. You get full access to everything on your chosen plan. At the end of the trial, you choose to continue or cancel. We never charge you automatically — subscription requires your explicit opt-in.
Can I upgrade or change plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade at any point from your account settings. Your patient and session data carries over — nothing is lost. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Data & Privacy
Is Oris compliant with GDPR and UK data protection requirements?
Oris is built with GDPR principles as a foundation. Every clinic's data is isolated at the database level — no data is ever accessible across clinic boundaries. Patient data is never used to train AI models. You can request full data deletion at any time from your settings. Your clinic remains the data controller.
What happens to my data if I stop using Oris?
Your data belongs to you. You can export all patient records, sessions, and clinical notes at any time from your account settings. If you close your account, all patient data is deleted on request. We do not retain patient data after account deletion.
The AI
How good is the AI clinical reasoning? Can I trust it?
Oris uses Google Gemini 2.5 Flash — one of the most capable large language models available. It produces structured clinical reasoning based on your input. Early users report it consistently catches differentials they would have noted but deprioritised, and it doesn't suffer from decision fatigue. That said, Oris is a clinical decision-support tool — your clinical judgement is always the final authority.
How does Adaptive Plan Evolution actually work?
After each session, you log what happened — what the patient completed, what improved, what didn't respond. Oris reads that session record and rewrites the next treatment plan, adjusting loading, progression, and technique emphasis based on real-world response. Evidence-based adaptation, not guesswork.
Getting Started
Do I need to change how I write my notes?
No. Oris works with how physiotherapists already document — shorthand, abbreviations, informal language, or structured notes. The AI understands clinical context. The text correction feature (paid plans) will expand and reformat shorthand into professional SOAP documentation if you want it, but it's entirely optional.
Does Oris replace my clinical judgement?
No — and it's designed not to. Oris is a clinical decision-support tool, not a medical device. It provides structured reasoning to support your thinking, not replace it. Your assessment, your plan, your signature. This makes Oris suitable for NHS and regulated practice settings where clinical accountability must remain with the practitioner.
